Hurricane Katrina

August 29, 2005

I will spare the agony of the next few hundred pictures... But it is just us sifting through everything in the house and inventorying and photographing it for the insurance claim.

Strange. I just thought of something. It didn't rain for almost 1 1/2 months after the storm. When it did finally rain we found out that the roof had been damaged and it was leaking into the upstairs! Crapola. What we had left was put upstairs. So all the bedroom furniture had made it through the storm and now this.

Yes, that's water in the globe.

Its rusted solid

Hey another spot!

The roof was temporarily patched and the fascia fixed. Later on a new roof will be put on.

The ceiling has to come down.

Nice huh?

Man, I'm hungry go whip up some lunch. Yeah, that's my good Caphalon cookware and knives. So what if I do most of the cooking. (yes they are all corroded and rusty.)

Let's hear some tunes, and then after lunch maybe we could make some new curtains for the downstairs. Just more junk for the trash at this point.
