About 3 months since the storm. Things are still not back to normal. Then again, what is normal? The four of us and a dog are living out of 2 dorm rooms on base, with no kitchen. (We lived there for 5 1/2 months). We eat in the chow hall, or go out to eat for every meal. The rooms are small. Housing is at a premium right now. Apartments have long waiting lists, houses for rent are going for about $1 a square foot. Base housing isn't available, many units were damaged in the storm.

The house has been re-wired and the tiles are in. Time for sheet rock.
