Update 31 Dec 1999
This was on New Years Eve 1999. No Y2K Bug to worry about here. I have done a lot of work on
the car this year. I got new fenders, rebuilt the engine. I am currently running a stock 69mm crank, forged 85.5
Pistons, stock cam, stock lifters and a Solex 34PICT4 carb with a Bosch 009 dizzy. I have a repro 36HP fan shroud
with a 12VDC Generator, new engine cooling sheet metal with a stock oil cooler. The engine has been rebuilt to
stock specs for now. I had the case align-bored and a new oil pump, cam/main and connecting rod bearings. The valves
are new and the heads were given a valve job. The flywheel was resurfaced with a new clutch disc/throw-out bearing
and pressure plate. All new seals and gaskets to keep the slippery stuff in the case. so basically I went through
the whole engine and had everything machined or replaced. I had all the machining done and I reassembled the rest
in the garage. The motor has about 3 hours on it now, from running it to keep the battery fresh and to move the
car around.

You can also see that I have ripped out most of the wiring harness to the rear of the car, the wires were in sad shape. I have made my own harness for the back of the car and all the lights and such work correctly. Also you can see that I have attempted to make a temporary patch for the A-pillar where it meets the heater channel. The heater channel need to be replaced as it is rotted underneath. I have also done some body work to smooth out some of the rough spots but it is far from being completed.

The floor pans are still horrible shape and will need to be cut out and replaced. That is the next update that I will do. That is going to be a lot of work I think, but well worth the trouble. I am thinking that the body will have to come off, so I can get in there and cut all that rusty sheet metal out. Might as well clean up everything insight also while I take the body off.
