Its been a long winter for the '69. Remember, I had to stop working on it because I had to go on
a deployment to the desert. But today it was 103* and I pulled her out of the garage to clean up all the dust,
I have been notified that I am being transferred. Luckily I can take both the '66 and the '69 with me. I need to
reassemble the '69 and get both cars ready for the road trip. The '69 will be towed behind my van and I will be
driving the '66. That's going to be a hot trip going across Texas and hopefully I have no problems with the 10
hour trip. Any way look for some more updates in the coming weeks. I am a member of VOSA (Volkswagen Owners of San Antonio
and have been for a while now. I put off joining simply because I didn't have the '69 done. But I picked up a pretty
nice '66 beetle back in November 02. I am forbidden to take it apart until I finish with the '69, except for repairs
