5/31/06 Update!! Unfortunately, there will be no more updates on the '69, and the '66 will need almost a total rebuild. Why? We were devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The house, the cars - everything was under 4 feet of salt water. Go to my hurricane page for more info. |

| Aug 2005 - My '66 was under 4 feet of salt water Sep 2006 - New engine has been built and ready to go, But I found the transaxle is bad, the salt water ate a hole in it!! Nov 2006 - The new transaxle is on order. Also a new wiring harness on order. Dec 2006 - The wiring harness has arrived along with alot of parts, so I can get started on rebuilding the '66, The transaxle is still being built. Check back later as I re-wire the entire car and Install replace the transaxle and install the new engine... that ought to be fun! |
Feb 2007 - The new transaxle has arrived March 2007 - Pulled the old transaxle. What a mess July 07 - Finally got the trans, rear axle and the engine back in...what a lot of work. |
